Our client is a customer focused organisation providing a range of professional advice and support services to clinical commissioning groups and other customers. They have a confirmed customer base including the eight CCGs in North West London, commissioning healthcare services for the 1.9 million people. In addition they provide services for London Ambulance Commissioning across all of London and a Cancer Commissioning Network for North West and South London. Their ambition is to grow the organisation significantly; developing new services and expanding their customer base. This is a four month internship paying the monthly equivalent of £23,609 per annum with the potential of extending to a full-time position. 

How can you expect to spend your day? 

You will join the Performance Team responsible for monitoring and driving positive transformation to existing and new patient strategies. 

In this team you will learn about and undertake the following tasks: 

  • Develop appropriate detailed performance information to support performance and quality monitoring to support improvement.
  • Support the further development of robust performance information and dashboards.
  • Monitor the submission of exception reports and data submissions from providers. 
  • Support the identification of early warning of risk against delivery of national targets to enable early intervention as appropriate. 
  • Contribute to the development/implementation of the performance portal that meets client needs. 
  • Work with Performance team members to undertake, as agreed, specific interventions with Acute Trusts to achieve sustained. 
  • Support the Associate Director of Performance and Heads of Performance in refining processes to support Performance monitoring and improvement.

This role most suits a recent graduate looking for commercial experience in a world renown healthcare organisation, gaining work experience in business and performance analysis. 

Full training will be given. 

Skills: 

  • Educated to degree level, ideal subjects being science or maths based, Psychology or related. 
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, someone comfortable dealing with and interpreting large sums of data. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • You must have excellent administrative and planning skills. 
  • Experience with MS Office products, in particular Outlook and Excel. 
  • Someone with the ability to prioritise own work effectively and deal with conflicting demands.
  • The ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships and work with a range of individuals. 
  • Prior experience using a range of data tools or assessing performance information would be a bonus but not a pre-requisite.
