Our client is an award winning advertising technology company that is using data to both find new customers for brands like Nike, Diesel, Virgin Media, British Airways and Marriott Hotels and to show those new customers a personalised ad message. They offer this technology and service to a range of global agencies and clients. This is a 3 month paid internship. Salary: £22k pro rata.

Key responsibilities of the role:

We are looking for a bright analytical graduate to join a rapidly expanding successful start-up in ad tech. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic needed to hit the ground running and quickly get up to speed on reporting, how to traffic and troubleshoot creatives and pixels and set up campaigns.

We will give you extensive training of the systems we use, and our technology stack, as well as how to troubleshoot. You will be accountable for all technical issues with assets and will have support from the Trading team.

How you can expect to spend your day:

  • You will be accountable for trafficking pixels and creatives
  • Take direct responsibility for the quality and smooth operation of our trafficking, ensuring consistent high standards and rigorous QA processes. 
  • Reporting and troubleshooting
  • Set up new campaigns and monitor technical attributes of campaigns such as discrepancies
  • Regular communication with Trading on bugs, testing and troubleshooting.
  • You will be accountable for updates to blacklists and whitelists
  • Identify opportunities for the innovation and improvement through the use of new technologies and processes.  Keep up to date with new technologies in the industry

The ideal intern’s personality and qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level in an analytical discipline such as Maths, Engineering or Science 
  • Excellent Excel skills including knowledge of Pivot Tables 
  • You will ideally have a strong affinity towards technical skills like HTML, JavaScript and Flash (programming experience is an advantage but not necessary).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, a strong work ethic and a good team player
  • Willingness to provide solutions and resolve problems 
  • Eagerness to work in a rapidly changing start-up, and to have a passion to be at the cutting edge of the data and exchange markets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Evidence of independent and innovative thinking 
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
