Our client is a fast-growing online accounting & practice management software, tailored specifically for accounting practices along with small businesses book keeping software both on cloud in software as service model.

They meet the daily requirements of bookkeeping, payroll, accounts production, as well as allowing clients to stay in control of their business through the company management module.

You will join an entrepreneurial family, working independently and as part of the team and experience a role where you will have a major influence on the running of our fast-growing business.


This is a 6month paid internship offering £18K pro rata, followed by a permanent job all being well. 

How you can expect to spend your day:

  • A career awaits in software sales and support. Perhaps you have a brain for numbers and your short time in accounting has proved successful but ultimately you feel something is missing. Customer engagement, training, building relationships and learning about cutting edge accounting & cloud software is available if you want it.
  • Initially you'll be taught the bespoke cloud software, the business and its goals. Begin interacting with customers to help them set up accounts, user access and support them with basic functionality questions. As your knowledge increases, your interactions will cover more complex client issues, demos, delivery training and on boarding.
  • You'll be given every opportunity to learn in your vertical and outside of that as the business continues its international expansion

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support Sales department by communicating internally important feedback from customers
  • Communicate effectively with customers on a daily basis when required.
  • Be able to prioritise own workload
  • Have strong communication skills, oral and written
  • Be able to enjoy working as part of a team but be able to work efficiently and with initiative on your own.
  • Be enthusiastic, energetic, hard-working, with a can-do attitude
  • Working closely with customers to provide pre and post-sales support. This will involve in assisting to clients, completing on boarding Working alongside back office support staff to resolve support tickets.
  • Working with Sales Support staff for on-boarding process.
  • Support Sales department by communicating internally important feedback from customers
  • Communicate effectively with customers on a daily basis when required.
  • Qualifying leads gained through marketing activity and following through to close.
  • Guiding customers through the sales process from initial contact, creating awareness of features and benefits of software in target accounts all the way to closing the sale and providing support post purchase.
  • Acquisition of new customers and greater penetration in existing accounts
  • Achieve best practice in Customer Relationship Management
  • Recording all customer interactions.

The ideal intern’s personality and qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level, preferred subjects include Accountancy, Maths based
  • Must have experience or strong knowledge of UK accountancy standards and compliance requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication ability.
  • Customer service & or sales background will be an added advantage
  • Intermediate to MS-Office skills
  • Demonstrate ability to meet expected daily outputs and deadlines
  • Ability to self-motivate, be organised and multitask.
  • Excellent time management.
