This is a full-time position paying up to £20,000 based in Dorking, Surrey. 

The role in a nutshell:

Working as a linchpin between our product and ecommerce teams, you’ll help customers to find the products they really care about to have a direct impact on our website sales. You’ll use technology to learn how people look for gifts online, and use that information to make decisions on the right way to sell our products.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Work with our merchandising tools to effectively create and manage product categories that interest site visitors and encourage purchasing behaviour
  • Liaise closely with our buying team to understand new product deliveries, and use this information to support editorial and email marketing
  • Regularly audit the website to challenge merchandising assumptions and measure any changes made
  • Use data to better understand our customers, and take action to improve their on-site experience
  • Communicate data findings to our content teams, signposting where copy, imagery or video could be altered to improve online sales

What are your ideal personality and qualifications? 

  • Highly numerate, with good spreadsheet abilities. You’ll be a data superhero who can make sense of all manner of information
  • Tech-savvy and willing to embrace new and emerging technologies
  • Keen interest in ecommerce, with strong opinions on what makes a good website experience
  • Good attention to detail
  • Pro-active, can-do approach
  • Commercial awareness of ecommerce metrics (such as conversion rates, click-through rates etc.) would be beneficial
