Uni life can be hard. On most days, you’re broke, overworked, hungry, and drowning in deadlines and responsibilities.
Thankfully, lots of companies understand the struggle, and offer special deals specifically for the financially challenged. But while plenty of places offer student discounts, some are more useful than others. And since you’re only a student for a limited time, it’s better to find out now and not later.
Check out some of the deals that could help you survive the semester.
UNiDAYS
Potentially the Bible of student discounts, UNiDAYS is a unique brand that offers exclusive student discounts for hundreds of brands! Signing up for an account grants you special deals, in-store discounts with proof of a student ID, daily games and competitions, as well as exclusive content like recipes and playlists just for you!
Available on the App Store and Google Play, there’s really no reason every student shouldn’t have this app!
McDonalds
The mecca of delicious food on a budget, McDonald’s student discounts differ from country to country. Most, however, follow a similar template: a FREE cheeseburger, McFlurry, or chicken sandwich with the purchase of an Extra Value Meal or Wrap Meal. And all you need to do is show a valid student ID or UNiDAYS ID when ordering.
Make sure to check your country’s McDonalds discounts, but most seem to have the same deal as above. Now get out there and eat!
Amazon Prime
If you haven’t joined Prime Student yet, it’s time. Amazon offers students a 6-month free trial of Amazon Prime. After that, if you decide to get a membership, Amazon Prime is 50% off for all university students. Talk about a deal!
All you need to do is sign up with your university email. It’s that simple! Free shipping, TV shows, movies, and exclusive college deals are waiting for you.
FedEx
Living away from home can be tough, and sending things home can be even harder. Luckily, FedEx has thought ahead and offers discounts for all the things you want to send home!
All you need is a student ID to get 20-30% off shipping packages and envelopes! Sending things home has never been cheaper. Go to any FedEx station and show your student ID card before paying. Get 30% off on a document with FedEx Envelop/Pak, and 20% off a package with FedEx IP service!
Apple
It would be pretty difficult to get by in college without a computer. But with how expensive technology is these days, what’s a student to do? Apple’s got you. They offer a special Apple Store for Education, where you can save on a new Mac or iPad.
Even better, this discount is available not only for current college students, but students accepted into college, parents buying for college students, as well as faculty, homeschool teachers, and staff at all grade levels! Even if you’re out of school, the Education Discount can still be of use.
And don’t forget to utilise their student pricing of Apple Music: only $4.99 per month (price varies by country)! You can also try it free for 3 months if you’re unsure.
So get out there and start buying! Just because you’re on a student budget doesn’t mean you have to be broke, hungry, and unfashionable. Fit these deals into your budget, and treat yourself!
