About the Company:
Our client is a UK based matchmaking organisation that harnesses technology and expertise to match grant makers with charities, social enterprises, and other local initiatives (unregistered community groups or activities), which are all together referred to as ‘VCSEs’.
The team is working in collaboration with Newport City Council to facilitate grant-making for GOV Shared Prosperity Fund Programme grants for culture, sports and heritage.

Our client is looking to hire a full-time, Newport based Grants Coordinator to run and report on the daily activities of the grant making process. This role is supported daily by other members of the team. Their grants management platform for grant promotion, application, evaluation and reporting process sits in the heart of the coordination process. The job role consists of various tasks around grant management, administration and grant programme promotion – as well as online and offline interaction with VCSEs on the area.

About the Role:

Operating as main administrator for grant management platform for the project monitoring applications, progress, granting and compliance
Supporting grant promotion under the supervision of the Communication Director. This includes digital marketing, online and offline webinars and events, public relations and forming collaboration with other organisations
Operating as a grant applicant support person for charities, local initiatives and social enterprises online, over calls and in person if needed to help applicants with question on the grant schemes, impact monitoring or reporting and using whatimpact.com platform.
Keeping grant scheme allocation and monitoring progress up to date on the management dashboard
Operating as a secretary in steering group meetings
Collaborating with Newport City Council and Shared Prosperity Fund Programme regarding administration and documentation as part of wider team.
Online customer service 9am to 5pm

About You:
This role requires a good mixture of social, administration and creative skills, also an interest in social causes and organisations. Work experience including administrative, communication and usage of some platform technologies are required. A capability to operate independently, to work in an agile, yet planned way is essential. Attention to detail is extremely important both supporting VCSEs in their application process, but also in governance.

This role is a daily representation of our client who is a leading social value matchmaking technology company in the UK, and the role represents the brand and our social impact driven values. The team will train, support and co-work with the role throughout, but relies on the local expertise and capability for the role to carry project responsibilities in a reliable manner.
The role requires excellent written and vocal English skills. Welsh language skills are considered advantage, but not mandatory.
